Project Overview
The Pump Station #1 Upgrade project for Bear Creek Special Utility District modernizes critical water infrastructure to improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and long-term service capacity. The project focuses on upgrades to pumping, electrical, instrumentation, and site systems to support continued growth and enhanced operational control.
Work includes construction of new structures and equipment, replacement and integration of mechanical and electrical systems, and extensive instrumentation and control improvements. The project also incorporates yard piping, utility connections, and site improvements to ensure seamless integration with existing facilities while minimizing service disruptions.
Collectively, these upgrades enhance pumping reliability, improve operational monitoring and control, and strengthen system resilience for Bear Creek SUD’s water delivery operations.

- Upgrades to Pump Station #1 including installation of new pumping, mechanical, and process equipment
- Electrical system improvements including new service equipment, generators, transfer switches, panelboards, motor controllers, lighting, and lightning protection systems
- Instrumentation and control upgrades including PLC hardware, control panels, field instrumentation, network and communication equipment, and system programming
- Installation of new yard piping, valves, fittings, and connections to existing water infrastructure
- Construction and installation of precast concrete structures and buildings to support upgraded pump station operations
- HVAC improvements for electrical and control spaces
- Site civil work including earthwork, trenching, backfill, fencing, gates, paving restoration, and erosion control
- Coordination of system shutdowns, tie-ins, testing, startup, and commissioning to maintain continuous service
